Banjo-Tooie is the sequel to Banjo-Kazooie on Nintendo 64. Like its predecessor, Banjo-Tooie is a 3D platforming collect-a-thon adventure. The story picks up two years after the events of Banjo-Kazooie. We open to a cutscene of Mumbo, Bottles, and our main heroes in a card game when out of a wall in Spiral Mountain appears a giant drilling machine. It turns out the drivers of this device are none other than Gruntilda’s sisters. They free her from her prison underneath a rock that her minion, Klungo, has been unable to move all this time. She emerges as a predominantly skeletal figure. Two years under a rock will do that to ya. But her sisters reassure her that they have a plan to fix this. The group hears the commotion and Mumbo volunteers to check it out. Continue reading “Banjo-Tooie”

Gex 64: Enter the Gecko

Gex 64: Enter the Gecko is a 3D platformer for the Nintendo 64. It’s actually the second Gex game, the first being on the 3DO. In this game, you play as Gex the gecko. There’s supposedly some kind of story… but… it’s not explained well nor is it important. You basically just go into differently themed levels that are based on TV and movies. Some levels are based on horror movies, some based on cartoons, and some based on sci-fi among other things. Continue reading “Gex 64: Enter the Gecko”

Mario is unable to stop him, and Bowser takes the princess, along with her entire castle, and brings them up to float in space. Mario must set out on a journey to rescue the stars of Star Haven and become powerful enough to save Peach and defeat Bowser. Continue reading “Paper Mario”
