Super Metroid is the third installment in the Metroid series of 2D adventure-platformer shooters and is on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The events of the game follow the events of the previous two. The game will explain it at that start, but basically the last Metroid is in captivity being researched by scientist when you, the bounty hunter Samus Aran, receive a distress call from the research station to find the Metroid stolen. After escaping the self-destructing lab, you tail the thief to Zebes and begin your search for creature and its captors. Are you a bad enough babe to save the Metroid? Fairune is a 2D puzzle adventure game with some RPG elements available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. There’s hardly much of a story and it will give you the brief overview of it right when you start. I simply picked up this game on the Nintendo eShop on my 3DS because it looked charmingly primitive. And it is. The main story, as I understand it, is that an evil monster which was supposed to be sealed away in the previous game has been let loose and threatens the land once more. It’s up to you, Prince Theo, and your party of heroes to gather the magical orbs and take down the evil beast. Continue reading “Sword of Hope II”
