Doom

Doom is a first-person shooter developed by Id Software for MS DOS. It’s one of the most popular and important first-person shooters out there. I doubt you’ve never heard of it. It has been ported tons of times, played on many devices, and still seems to stand the test of time. It wasn’t the first first-person shooter, but it’s definitely one of the first ones to come to mind when you think of the genre. So what is it about this game that makes it so damn appealing? Dead Space 2

Dead Space 2 is a third-person shooter horror game for Windows, Xbox 360, and the Playstation 3. I played the PS3 version a while ago so forgive my lack of details in places. Also, seeing as this is the second game in the series, the story carries over from the first game. You could try to get a synopsis from the in-game movie that recaps the first game, but even then you might be lost. Rogue Legacy

I first played Rogue Legacy at a friend’s place, trading off the controller at each death. It wasn’t much, but it got me instantly hooked on how fun it was. So hooked, that I downloaded Steam, bought the game for the full $15, and bought a $30 wired Xbox 360 controller… and I don’t even have any Xboxes. All this for this one game… and it was worth it.
